Starco Lighting – Competitive Advantage

Fast-Installation Fused Wiring Kit

Our patent pending wiring kits come in many setups that enable quick and reliable installations in the field. Our robust TLED sockets and inline fuse ensure that the installation is safe and secure for years to come regardless of environment or application.

  • Fuse Protection: Protects against any electrical short that may arise in the wiring, sockets or TLEDs. Also protects against the short caused by replacing a traditional fluorescent bulb.
  • Surge Protection Interface: a parallel interface where our surge suppressor module can be attached during time of install or added later with no rewiring. We supply surge suppressor modules.
  • Controls Interface: A connector that can be decoupled and have a controls module (either occupancy or wireless control) connected inline without any rewiring.
  • Multi-Level Dimming Arrangement: The wiring kits can be preassembled with different power feeds delivered to a subset number of sockets. These feeds can be powered by emergency generator lines, secondary power lines, or control relays.

Standardized Platform

Starco’s wiring kit solution maintains the standard G13 platform that provides customers with flexibility.

  • Future Proof: There is no other modular component or proprietary connector that restricts the future upgrade of TLED tube.
  • Serviceability: Once a fixture is retrofitted with our wiring kit, any future maintenance needed can be done without the use of an electrician as there is no more ballast or modular driver.
  • Emergency Invertor Solution: Starco offers a cost-effective battery backup solution that extends the benefits of the standard sockets.

Specialty TLED Solutions

Starco manufactures many specialty TLED sizes and types.

  • Eye Comfort Series: Offers a 5% or less flicker rate for hospitals and other applications where exposure to light may be for extended periods of time.
  • Non-Metal Heatsink Series: for correctional facilities and prisons where the ability to weaponize surroundings needs to be reduced.
  • High Output Series: 28W/3700 lumen 4’ TLEDs for industrial and commercial high bay applications.
  • Other TLED: lengths from 9” to 96” including for elevators, refrigerated cases, and other specialty applications
  • TLED Fixtures: TLED for commercial and industrial applications. Also includes emergency backup solutions.

Starco Lighting Toolkit

Starco Lighting leverage a variety of tools in order to generate product excellence and relibility

Six Sigma

A measure of quality that strives for near perfection using five phases: define, measure, analyze, improve, and control. Six Sigma is a disciplined, data-driven approach and methodology that identifies the drivers of variability in a process for eliminating defects (driving toward six standard deviations between the mean and the nearest specification limit) in any process – from manufacturing to transactional and from product to service.

7-Cycle Reliable Measurement

100% Product Pre-Test and 6-Week (1000 hours) severe test period

Thermal Dynamic Analysis

Fluid & Air Dynamics simulation and analysis and Design-Simulate-Modify-Prove (DSMP Process)

Quality Management System (QMS)

A set of policies, processes and procedures required for planning and execution (production/development/service) in the core business area of an organization. Starco Lighting is a ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certified manufacturer.

Industry Leading Warranty

Unlike all competitors in the market that specify either a 5-year warranty or a longer warranty with operational restrictions. Starco offers an around the clock, 8-year warranty with no restrictions in terms of controls or operation.

Starco carries millions of dollars in inventory at any given time, including our standard TLEDs and wiring kits. This level of inventory will be maintained as we continue to grow our footprint with distributors throughout the country.

Vertical Advantage

Starco Lighting falls under the Starco group which owns Starco Plastics and Starco Super Capacitors. Unlike other glass and plastic TLED manufacturers, Starco Lighting owns its manufacturing facilities and equipment and manufactures everything in house.

  • No reliance on other suppliers, no disruptions in supply
  • Forecasting and technology roadmaps
  • Customizations for rare applications
  • Flexibility to accommodate the market and customers as we see fit
  • Designs and patents are all in house

The retrofit solution uses existing infrastructure including current fixtures. This eliminates the need to create whole fixtures, whether metal or polycarbonate, to house the LED technology. We also eliminate disposal of current fixtures appropriately using them when possible. This drastically cuts down the total lifecycle carbon footprint linked to the LED lighting solution.
